We are pleased to announce the 23rd Int’l Conference on Virtual Systems and Multimedia will be held October 31st – November 2nd, 2017 at University College Dublin, Ireland and November 3rd – 5th in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

For over 2 decades, VSMM has been the premier world forum for cross-disciplinary research on multimedia, VR, AR, 3D acquisition, visualization and interaction technologies, and their myriad applications. Known for its broad multidisciplinary approach, VSMM has become a unique bridge between technology and the arts, history, science and engineering.

Held annually since 1995, this will mark the 23rd international gathering of the VSMM Society. VSMM’s Proceedings are available in IEEE’s digital library, Xplore.

VSMM2017 will be hosted by The Inclusive Design Research Centre of Ireland (SMARTlab) & the College of Engineering & Architecture at University College Dublin, Ireland.  The conference offers participants hands-on workshops in VR/AR, 3D printing, 3D scanning and more together with seminars, keynotes, cultural excursions and more.  The conference is being run in association with the ACM Distinguished Speakers Series & the NASA 100 Year Starship Program.  Support from Creative Ireland, VR First, All These Worlds and NVIDIA along with others sets to make this an exciting event. Regional activities will be hosted in Belfast, Northern Ireland by Ulster University.
